|Van Gogh Museum|
|The Van Gogh Museum administers
the worlds largest collection of works by Vincent van Gogh.
The collection, which is on permanent loan from the Vincent van Gogh Foundation, has been on show at the Amsterdam Museumplein location since 1973, in a building specially designed for this purpose by Gerrit Rietveld. Since then the museum has extended its collection to include works by other artists from the period 1840-1920 and has thus developed into a museum of the 19th century.
